Yurt Holidays
Staying in a yurt in Cornwall is a truly magical experience. It offers the perfect combination: back-to-nature living, without compromising on all the luxuries you would dream of for a perfect holiday. Roomy, with comfortable beds, cosy woodburners and beautiful lanterns, this is luxury camping! This year we have 2 yurts, situated at either end of a large field which is planted with native trees, giving each yurt a high degree of privacy and space. The yurts provide a luxury family camping holiday or unique honeymoon destination. Each yurt has its own individual character which is detailed towards the end of this page along with price and booking information. For an extraordinary Family Eco Holiday that includes exciting workshops and all meals provided by our great cook, get together with your friends and their families and design your very own Eco Adventure Camp.
Interior Yurt Facilities
Our yurts are spacious, cosy, and sumptuously furnished, with sheepskins, beautiful rugs, and lanterns. They come equipped with everything you need for a self-catering family holiday or romantic break: each has its own wood burner, making them wonderfully toasty, even on cooler days, and beds and mattresses provide a warm and comfortable place to sleep, with duvets and pillows provided. There are blanket boxes for storing your personal belongings.
Exterior Yurt Facilities
There is a compost toilet and woodburning shower, helping you to stay clean and green! Firewood for the woodburning shower and the yurt woodburners will be provided. Each yurt has its own separate kitchen tent with a camp kitchen including Calor gas stove and wash-up facilities. Guests will have access to a fridge and freezer, and each yurt has its own cool bag with freezer blocks which can be changed daily. Many of our guests find they can't resist the temptation to cook over an open fire (there is a camp fire outside each yurt) - time to remember all those campfire songs you used to sing! In 2010 we have two yurts: a 16ft and a 19ft yurt - choose the one that best meets your needs and dreams.
The 16 foot Yurt
The 16ft yurt was made by Green and Away's yurt maker, Michael Robinson, and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children with 1 double bed and 2 single mattresses. Perfect for a honeymoon or romantic holiday!
The 19 foot Yurt
The 19ft yurt, is genuinely handmade in Mongolia by Ulaantaij and has been gloriously hand decorated by Mongolian artists giving it a truly opulent feel. This is suitable for up to 2 adults and 3 to 4 children with 1 double bed and 3 to 4 single mattresses. An extra layer of felt makes the Mongolian yurt even cosier for a child-friendly holiday or unique honeymoon experience.
Booking Information
Prices are per week, Friday to Friday.
- Bedding will be provided: duvets, pillows, mattresses.
- Guests that come by car need to bring their own bed linen and towels.
- In order to make arrival by public transport easier, we can provide all bed linen, duvets, pillows and towels for a small laundry fee.
- Sorry, no dogs.
